PEANUT BUTTER!
Ask any of my cousins about Grandpa Chamberlain's favorite food, and they would all say peanut butter.

Peanut butter was a staple for Grandpa and went on EVERYTHING! The Chamberlain farmhouse kitchen had a small set of open shelving near the head of the kitchen table. Grandpa's peanut butter always sat there, easily accessible. Just like you would season your food with salt and pepper, Grandpa used peanut butter. We'd always laugh to see what he would put peanut butter on next: bread, toast, ice cream, cereal, oatmeal, broccoli. Nothing was off limits when it came to being spread with peanut butter.

Grandpa was a farmer and owned a concrete ready mix plant in the small town of Kanab, Utah. He worked hard and I'm sure he needed those extra calories to keep him going throughout the day.

Let's honor him by making delicious peanut butter bars. It's time to bake!
